Assortment of 1920s-1930s serviceware from the Hotel President.

This assortment of dishware from the world famous Hotel President are made by Lamberton Scammell for everyday hotel use in the 1920s and 1930s. Images from hotel functions and parties show some of this dishware pattern pieces in use as late as the 1950s. Crafted in almost indestructible vitrified china these pieces were chosen by hotels and restaurants for their durability. Included in this set is a stunning pair of large "Pickle Dishes", both 12" in length and complemented by 2 coffee cups and a pair of 6 1/2" Side Plates of the same pattern. Wear is consistent with age and use. One of the side plates has a small chip on the underside of the rim. Please see pictures for further information.
