1960's Urban Planning and Development Scrapbook

This incredible scrapbook opens with a 21” x 29” foldout aerial illustration of downtown Kansas City, Missouri as envisioned in the year 1972 and contains a total of 30 medium and large newspaper clippings dated from between the years 1962 and 1966. Included in this collection are newly constructed and proposed projects including Arrowhead and Kauffman Stadiums, Traders Bank, Kemper Arena, Bartle Hall, the BMA Building, Commerce Tower, and clippings from the installation of the Muse of the Missouri and J.C. Nichols Memorial fountains. Scrapbook cover has been cut (see images) but the contents and binding are unaffected. Yellowing of newspaper clippings and pages is consistent with age.
